Pakistan is regularly participating in the International Physics Olympiad since 2001, in the Mathematics Olympiad since 2005 and in the Biology and Chemistry Olympiad since 2006 through NSTC

60th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO-2019)

Pakistan Team won 1 Bronze Medal (BM) and 1 Honorable Mention ( HM)️, in 60th International Mathematials Olympiad (IMO-60), Bath, England (UK) from 11-22 July, 2019

30th International Biology Olympiad

Pakistan Team won 1 Bronze Medal (BM) and 1 Honorable Mention ( HM) ️, in 30th International Biology Olympiad (IBO-30), Szeged, Hungary from 14-21 July, 2019

51st International Chemistry Olympiad

Pakistan Team won 1 Bronze Medal (BM) and 2 Honorable Mentions ( HM)️, in 51st International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO-51), Paris, France from 21-30 July, 2019

23rd IPhO Training Camp

The National Physics Talent Contest (NPTC), which was inspired by and is meant to prepare Pakistani Students for participation in the International Physics Olympiad, is a regular annual event since 1995



STEM Careers Program, a joint venture of Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Pakistan Institute of Engineering & Applied Sciences (PIEAS) to inspire the potential youth of the nation to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Besides, STEM teams also represent Pakistan in International Science Olympiads (ISOs) in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics organized across the world, exhibiting the natural talent of the country in these competitions.

STEM Careers Programme (STEM) has a two fold Mission

1. To inspire the youth of the nation to opt for careers in science, mathematics and engineering and preparing them for participation in the annual International Olympiad in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics.

2. To encourage engineering students to come up with innovative solutions to problems of national interest.
