STEM Careers Program is a joint venture of Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Pakistan Institute of Engineering & Applied Sciences (PIEAS) to inspire the potential youth of the nation to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
To inspire the youth of the nation to opt careers in science, mathematics and engineering and preparing them for participation in the annual International Olympiad in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics.

Aggregate marks of 60% or more in core subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics). Age less than 20 years at time of participation in ISOs.
Nationwide screening test conducted in major cities across Pakistan.
Top 50 students invited for one week fully residential training camp. Gradually narrows down to 4-6 best students per subject.
Final teams of 4-6 students selected to represent Pakistan in International Science Olympiads worldwide.
Pakistan's performance in international olympiads has been consistently encouraging with numerous medals won.

Students with aggregate marks of 60% or more in core subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics) in their last exam and age less than 20 years at the time of participation in International Science Olympiads.
Nationwide screening tests are conducted annually in major cities across Pakistan. Check our announcements section for specific dates and locations.
Top 50 students in each subject are invited for one week fully residential training camps. Through a series of evaluations and training sessions, this number is gradually reduced to 4-6 best students per subject for international representation.
Pakistan has been participating in International Physics Olympiad since 2001, Mathematics Olympiad since 2005, and Biology & Chemistry Olympiads since 2006. Our performance has been consistently encouraging with numerous medals.
